When can I have this test?
For your Instant Syphilis test to be accurate, you should wait at least 9 days from when you think you might have been exposed to infection until the day you test. This period of time is required to ensure that any infection has developed sufficiently so as to become reliably detectable.

What happens if the test is reactive?
If your Instant Syphilis test is positive, we will take a second venous blood sample from your arm and send this to our laboratory for analysis. This follows good medical practice and will allow us to find out whether this is a current or past infection which may have already been successfully treated.
If our laboratory test shows a current infection, we will write you a private prescription for antibiotics to treat the infection.
